The Resilience of the Ginkgo

A Ginkgo tree can live for several thousand years, one such tree in China is estimated to be 4000 years old. It is the oldest surviving gymnosperm species of tree known to exist.

The species first appeared over 350 million years ago, surviving many mass extinctions like the one that killed the dinosaurs. Some have survived modern extreme events like the Hiroshima atomic bomb blast in 1945.

This collection is inspired by the resilience of the Ginkgo tree and is meant to celebrate all those times when we fall and get back up again.
