Kate Faulkner (1841-1898) was a maker during the Arts & Crafts Movement who mastered various media and designed patterns for ceramic tile, textiles, and wallpaper. Her gesso furniture designs often featured flora motifs like this engraved cuff repurposed from a vintage 1940's picture frame. The women of this movement often did not receive credit for their work. This series is meant to honor their contribution to establishing a presence for women in handmade craft.
